Praise for gloriana (Elizabeth Klett) via the 'Thank a reader' feature:
Many thanks to Elizabeth Klett for her reading of Howard’s End. Her clear voice and precise enunciation were a pleasure to my ears. I am now going to search out any other books that she has recorded.

Praise for TriciaG (TriciaG) via the 'Thank a reader' feature:
Chautauqua Girls

I would like to thank Tricia G for the WONDERFUL reading of all of the books in this series. I listened to every one of them and I was so glad to find, when I started a new one, that Tricia was reading. It gave such continuity to the stories. I loved them. Thanks, Tricia.
Ray and Kathleen M.
Hi Tricia,

Just wanted to let you know how very much I've enjoyed your recordings of Isabella Alden's books. She's one of my very favorite authors and it has been delightful to have her books in an audio form so that I can listen as I work. The whole writing style was different in that time and you do a fine job of making it enjoyable to listen to without feeling too "wordy". If you're considering any more of hers, I would love to encourage you in that endeavor! A particular favorite of mine is "The Browns at Mount Hermon". :-) Just as a suggestion, you know!

Thanks again! I appreciate you making these available. Each time I listen to any of Alden's books, the message rings true in my heart and brings my focus back to Jesus Christ.

Sincerely,
Hannah M.

Praise for MorganScorpion (MorganScorpion) via the 'Thank a reader' feature:
even though my degree was in English - and I've spent most of my adult life
involved with English literature one way or another - I just never got the
hang of Spenser. the first time i opened the Faerie Queene it seemed
muddled, directionless, repetititive ....

just over a year ago i discovered Librivox, and - sceptical at first - i
downloaded part of the Faerie Queene. it was a poem i knew i didn't like,
and i was expecting to continue not liking it.

but it was a revelation! listening to the poem is just so different from
trying to read it. the leisurely pace becomes part of the fun of a bed-time
story, the shapelessness of the plotline all part of the wonder of being in
neverland.

morganscorpion wasn't the only reader - but she was one of my favourites. i
usually listen late at night, and dozing off listening to morganscorpion is
the second nicest way i know of getting to sleep.

i probably need to thank several of the other readers at some point, perhaps
i shall eventually.

but morganscorpion has now posted a reading of oliver onions 'beckoning fair
one' http://librivox.org/the-beckoning-fair-one-by-oliver-onions/

this is another story i always wanted to like (i am a long-term devotee of
arthur machen), but again never managed to.

morganscorpion has wrought her magic again. prose that was unreadably
orotund on the page becomes snug as a fleece when listened to.
morganscorpion is nearly as fun as icecream.

not walls icecream: joe's icecream. the proper stuff.

thank you so much morganscorpion, you showed me the key to the Faerie Queene
and Oliver Onions. there are many doors to fairyland, but i am permanently
grateful to anyone who can open even one of them for me ...

Praise for War and Peace Readers via the 'Thank a reader' feature:
http://librivox.org/war-and-peace-book-08-by-leo-tolstoy/

I don't know if it's possible to thank all readers of this book? - there are a lot of them!

I'm from the UK but currently live in Singapore and have been working my way through War and Peace while swimming - it has made it so much less boring!

So just wanted to thank the many volunteers who contributed to the book.

Praise for gypsygirl (Karen Savage) via the 'Thank a reader' feature:
I’m revisiting the ‘Anne’ books by L.M. Montgomery now that I’m 50. Dog is unimpressed on our walks – he prefers the Science Show – but I am enjoying the simple beauty of the books and Karen’s excellent reading. Great work Karen, please complete reading the other books in the series. Prince Edward Island is the world away from Melbourne Australia but I’d love to visit Canada one day,

Kind Regards, Leah M.
Hi
I would like to say a big thank you to Karen Savage for her version of Pride and Prejudice. She has an excellent voice, accent, pronunciation etc and it was a pleasure to listen to her reading every evening. Really enjoyed the book as a result of her efforts.

Many thanks

Praise for phi78 (Peggy) via the 'Thank a reader' feature:
Dear Peggy;

I wanted to Thank you for reading parts of; “An Old Fashioned Girl”. I was deeply touched by your voice, it is so deeply feminine, and spiritually touching, with true sentiment and feeling, yet in a soft tranquil manner. Other voices were good, but yours was my favorite in the book. I feel I detected a slight accent, German possibly. My wife is Russian, and she also has an accent.

Please let me explain why I have listened to such books as this. I am a middle age man with a normal wife and 13 year old daughter. I am a dedicated Christian. I seek a pure and clean heart before the Lord, not always easy in present times. God says dwell on pure and good things instead of the temptations of this earth. I started out with “Ann of Green Gables”, and later found an “Old Fashioned Girl”, an even better inspiration. I was so glad to hear Polly's father was a pastor, in the book.

I am ashamed of some of some of my temptations, and try to immediately turn to pure and good thoughts. This book, among others has helped me to love women the way God loves them, and hopefully make me a better husband and father.

Hopefully you will pick out some more good books with good morals, and read them. I will be watching out for your readings.

Thank you so much for taking the time and effort to read for all of us. May the Lord truly Bless and care for you Peggy. PS: I am on Facebook. Yours truly; Glenn T.

Praise for russiandoll (Philippa) via the 'Thank a reader' feature:
I would just like to thank Philippa for her most enjoyable reading of the Man Who Would be King. I've seen the movie but never read the book so find it immensely interesting. Such a lovely voice and great accents too. I shall definitely look out for anything else Philippa reads.

Brilliant idea altogether thank you Librivox.

Praise for Readers of Oedipus Rex via the 'Thank a reader' feature:
Hi there,

I have just discovered LibriVox, and was excited by the number and diversity of the offerings the you guys have produced. I am going to have to go and buy a microphone! :)
This is just a quick note to thank all of the cast of "Oedipus the King". You guys did a great job of the play. In particular, I found that the reader of the chorus gave me goosebumps. Awesome job, whomever you are!

Thanks again for your hard work,
