Sorry. I didn't have that experience.* I can understand: the whoseheart blend cojoined together with the h - h - h.

* Actually, I said "humble hung heart whose," which I hear now is easier to say.

Okay, deadline is past, this weekly poem is complete! Thanks for contributing, everyone, and stay tuned for next week's selection. ^_^

I'll have the preliminary catalog page up ASAP.

Well, Nate, as the mother ofa son, I cried at that last line.

And I whisked your lovely reading into some software I've been taught to use for minimizing such stuff as the background flutter which I so distinctly heard in the mp3 you sent, and here's the result:

http://www.studioae.com/LibriVox/war_is_kind_crane_nas.mp3
what do you think?

Welcome aboard!
I hope this makes it in under the wire -- this poem was just closed, actually.

Anita

I know what -- the collection was closed on Saturday, so it has surely missed that boat.
But this could go into the current poetry collection. Be sure to drop it in there, Nate.

And good heavens -- what project are you interested in?? It'd be great to tackle that background noise, but it cleans up well enough in GoldWave that I think you should carry on even if there aren't any adjustments you can make in your setup. Wonderful reading.

You are late, but I'll let you get away with it just this once and put your reading in this collection, just let me know what version you want to use. ^_~

Also I need to know how you want your name to appear in the catalog and what (if any) personal URL you want to include.

Yeah, I picked it up on Friday and did it over the weekend. Guess I missed the deadline. I've picked up a Chapter of "The Island of Dr. Moreau", so we'll see how it goes. I have made adjustments to the recording equipment, so it should be fixed now. Thanks for your help and the encouragement!

Bumping because, Nate, looks like you and I crossed each other and you didn't see my response.

Nate's recording given the 0ne-Two by Anita sounds the more powerful with the grumbling affects of her change. Otherworldly and yet filled with unidentified human noises, maybe even what must be the sounds of the aftermath of war. No one could have purposefully have found just the right sound effects. I like this very much. You're right, A. This is poignant... deeply effecting. Glad it got in among the others.

Time to move this over to the "Completed" section?

I just realized that our weekly poetry readers might not know that I choose one reading at random each week for the Sunday Poetry Podcast! This week's reader is Maria Morabe. Nice job, Maria!

Each week's poetry podcast is a randomly selected file from the collection? Cool. So each week, everyone has an equal chance of being the podcast choice. Neat. :D

Well, each week's poetry podcast is chosen from the previous week's Weekly Poem. (How confusing is that sentence? :) But yes, everyone who reads a weekly poem has a chance of being podcast the next Sunday, and being heard by our podcast subscribers :)

And for those who didn't even know we HAD a podcast:
