You don't even have to be able to sing! I don't care, as long as it is in time.
Here is the MP3: http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/rg/ilovelibrivox1.mp3
This is the effect I would love to get: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V5BxymuiAxQ
Lots and lots and LOTS of different voices
Call your file ilovelibrivox_yourinitials.mp3. Upload it to my folder rg - RuthieG by Monday night (British time) and I will edit them all together to send to Cori on Tuesday.
This is how you do it:
1. Import the accompaniment MP3 into Audacity.
2. In Edit | Preferences, tick the box that says "Play other tracks while recording new one"
3. Click record and sing along while listening using headphones. Put the playback sound down low so that it doesn't get recorded with your voice.
4. Now you should have two tracks. When you are happy with it, just delete the accompaniment track, and export your voice track as an MP3.
5. Don't forget to uncheck the Playthrough box when you have finished.
I AM WAITING!I like recording
I love the microphone
I like to listen
On my drive back home
I love the forums
When the lights are low
Boom-de-ya-da, boom-de-ya-da, boom-de-ya-da, boom-de-ya-da
I love the drama,
I like the poetry
I like to stay up late
Until it's nearly three
I just love Librivox
There're always friends I know
Boom-de-ya-da, boom-de-ya-da, boom-de-ya-da, boom-de-ya-da
I like researching
Through the Public Domain
To find old treasures that
I can revive again
I like the blooper thread
When the world is slow
Boom-de-ya-da, boom-de-ya-da, boom-de-ya-da, boom-de-ya-da
But now we need you
Cos our funds are low
The server costs a lot
And we ain't got no dough
If you can help us
We'll all be thrilled you know
Boom-de-ya-da, boom-de-ya-da, boom-de-ya-da, boom-de-ya-da
Boom-de-ya-da, boom-de-ya-da, boom-de-ya-da, boom-de-ya-da
Boom-de-ya-da, boom-de-ya-da, boom-de-ya-da, boom-de-ya-da
Boom-de-ya-da, boom-de-ya-da, boom-de-ya-da, boom-de-ya-da
