I can get into it and I tried posting under comments. I clicked the edit button, typed in my comments, hit enter and it all looked ok. When I went back to the MW and hit refresh, my comments were not there.

Ah! I see the problem. You posted your comment in the Listen URL column, which displays the word "Listen" as a link to whatever was posted in it. That column can't differentiate between urls and plain text.

Can I volunteer for Edith?

I've never done a singing project before, but I enjoy singing, and I love Pirates of Penzance. I can never manage to hit Mabel's notes when I try to sing along--and my congratulations to anyone who can!--but I think Edith is about right for my range, if she is still open. :D

I fixed the "tonight the traitor dies" just now and it should be ready.

Karen, thanks for the help. I got my comments in the MW, but you may want to delete the space in it. I'm not sure where the end of each line is, and I did not want to fool with it and completely screw it up.

It's yours!

I've updated a bunch of the links to the amplified midi mp3s, all the ones I had, but still not all the links on the first post work, but you can still get all the midi files from the boise site which is linked up there.

The songs we definitely need from you are the ones that have Edith's name after them in the list at the bottom of the first post. We'd love to get some chorus songs too, but the others are the absolute requirements.

I'd like to volunteer for Kate please- but before that I want to send in a demo. I haven't sung in a play for quite some time and want to be sure my voice matches the character.

I've put you down for Kate. Please read through the first post of the project carefully for instructions.

The part of Isabel is now available. She has no singing solos, but does have a few spoken lines.

I just completed the finale for Act 2 with a length of 49 secs; http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/ce/pop_act2finale_pirateking_sc.mp3

Thank you! Let me know if all sounds ok. Also, I corrected "tonight the traitor dies."

Okay, I think I might be able to do the Pirate King part, one of your "orphans". Tell me what to do next? Where do I start?

Here are Edith's lines for Act 1, Scene 2:

http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/ce/pop_a1s2_edith_at.mp3 (0:36)

and her part of "Stop, Ladies, Pray, etc.":

http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/ce/pop_stopladies_edith_at.mp3 (4:46)

Since Edith is basically a member of the chorus when she isn't soloing, I went ahead and recorded the chorus lines along with her solos. If it would be more helpful to keep the chorus lines separate from the solos and create two files, I can do that, too. Just let me know. :)

(Of course, if you find issues with my pitch or timing, let me know that, too. )

I'm going to print out more sheet music right now...
