Hi Betsie!

I've finished Chapter 9, but guessing there'll be some feedback/changes required (as it's my first recording!)

I've tried to read slowly - at a pace similar to the recordings I've been listening to (Anne of Green Gables/Avonlea), but am not sure whether when combined with my Aussie accent it might be too fast ;). Let me know.

The other thing is that I didn't realise until after recording that I'd used a default sample rate of 32bit-float (instead of 16bit). I don't think this should affect the final exported 128bit MP3 file, but correct me if I'm wrong!

You can download Chapter 9 from:
http://liveandletlearn.net/librivox/anne_island_09_montgomery.mp3

It was a great experience recording it! Got to learn a bit more about Audacity (something I've wanted to do for a while!). Fran will have chapter 10 done soon (and is enjoying it too!). We're both really excited about Libravox atm... Fran's going to do some of the German books too!

Michael, Thank you for the excellent recording... your accent is no problem as your reading is very clear and expressive. The only thing you forgot were the ID3 tags (which is not a big deal at all, and I have already taken care of that for you =) ... the bit-rate is also easy to change (and again, not a big deal =)

How would you like your name to appear in the catalog? and do you have a URL you would like associated with your name?

=)

Strange? I did add the ID3 tags in Audacity before exporting to MP3? And they seem to appear correctly for me when I look at the properties of the MP3 file here?...I'll try to find out what's going on when Fran uploads her chapter.

As for the URL association, yep please use http://liveandletlearn.net

Thanks Betsie and everyone else! Soo much fun :)

Hi Betsie,
Chapter 10 is finished .. well I've done it but I'm sure there'll be lots of feedback and possibly some changes required.

But you can download it from:
http://omaisforgrandma.net/librivox/anne_island_10_montgomery.mp3

I've done my ID3 tags as ID3v1 as there seemed to have been problems with Michael's when he did it as ID3v2. So I hope they work and everything is OK.

Excellent! Thank you Fran (I haven't had a full listen-through yet, but what I heard sounds great! =)

How would you like your name and url to appear on the catalog page? =)
