Its fine Stav - its a response to a PM from me - she is having interent problems and having to upload in her library - sorry didn't let you know

Anne

Jhui - I can get the file - what Stav was saying was that the uploader hates blank spaces in file names :D and capital letters too, but I have fixed it and will see how it goes in the file

Jhui - it fitted in perfectly :D . Wish I could keep my voice so consistent .

Its uploaded now, you can check if you want .
For your info - I noticed a query about the hum - it is fairly easy to remove if you are using Audacity 1.3 or above with the noise cleaning option. What I did notice in 02 is that you have some DC offset - this shows as your base wave does not run along 0 . Can cause problems with editing and with some sound systems. Just highlight the file and use normalise with only the "fix DC offset" button checked and its fixed - I've done it for 02 before I inserted the line in case the 2 did not match (it makes a thump where the wave has to drop from the insert level to the file level) I'll look at the other files and fix it if needed when I PL them .

Thanks for all the hard work with my recording.
Did know about the normalisation but forgot  Sorry!

I've spoken to my IT person about the buzz. He seems to think the sound card may have to be changed. I have tried noise removal, but it doesn't seem to help.

The other approach is to use a USB mic - it bypasses the sound card and is probably a lot cheaper

PL for Canto 9

19:17
Yet did he murmure with rebellious sound
the word "rebellious" is slightly chopped due to editing, minor incident. No worries there.

Anne, if you need another hand just let me know.

Hello Brian
Well worth waiting for - PL OK  . I tweaked the file and ID tag a little to keep everything in order - computer talk doesn't recognise prologue as coming before 1 , so we've had to call the prologues 00 but everything else is perfect , I'm looking forward to the next one

Hey Anne
That's great! I've had a little issue getting quiet for recording, some construction noise from a new project nearby. Quiet for now, I can finish.
Thanks

Thank you for canto 1, Brian. Can you tell us it's duration?
Love gothic novels? Try Children Of The Abbey. Like surprising mysteries? Try The Amathist Cross. Looking for an easy read? Try Harriet's Choice.
