If I may, I'll try my hand at sections 02 and 03 (Chapter 2) as well.

Here's section 02:

22:44.

You can hear low rumbles of thunder in the background in a couple of places, but I don't think it's too distracting.

Working on mine, had to get a few things changed on my recording program, but I should have it up by the end of the week, if all goes well.

Here is section 3:

Time: 19:52.

I believe there is a mistake of some sort in the text, in the sentence that starts at 15:59. It reads "He knew--as all wise governors know when they allow themselves time--that it is no use to bully a Jew; slid applied to me." I can't figure out the last part, "slid applied to me." I read it as written, but if you know what it is supposed to be I can fix it.

Derek, that is indeed a puzzle! However, the book is available to read from scans at Internet Archive:

http://www.archive.org/search.php?query=hypatia%20AND%20mediatype%3Atexts

I didn't even know until just now, but if you choose the format, "read on-line" there is a search capability! the phrase is "bully a Jew, and applied to me." not a very likely scanno, is it!

If you could patch it in and reupload, I'd appreciate it! Thanks.

I wondered if it was supposed to be "and", but it did seem like an odd transition from "and" to "slid". Here's the new file:

Same time, 19:52.

The PLing notations for the Intro and Sec. 2 are in the box. Really good job, Dexter.

I have been having the worst troubles with my computer and the internet. If one is working the other isn't. I'm on a friend's computer right now, and I just wanted to check in. Working on it, I promise!
