Moving to Readers Wanted.
And, could I have sections 14-18?
Keep your mind here and now, where it belongs.

Could I try sections 28-32? This would be my first attempt at recording.

Hi tsoapm, and welcome to Librivox..!! I have you down for sections 28-32. Since you are new around these parts, may I suggest you record and submit a short (30 sec or so) test recording to make sure you have all your recording and technical issues ironed out? Just place the link to your test file in this thread, and we can go from there..!!

Again, welcome to Librivox - this is a great place to bring dusty but deserving old books back to life..!!

I've done my test, and for the purposes of saving face I'll say I didn't read it through first:

Also, I think I made a mistake by uploading it for Kikisaulite instead of under Tests. I imgaine worse things happen at sea, but I thought I'd better say.

Yes, tests go under their own directory - but you now know how to do it.

It sounds great - and it looks like you have the technical issues worked out. Your reading voice is certainly better than mine - so I say you are good to go..!!!

Section 00, Introduction:

http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/kb/againstheresies_00_robertsrambaut.mp3

14:10, 12.9Mb

My first recording with a brand-spankin-new microphone. I am still trying to figure out how to adjust the sound and noise levels on this thing - so let me know if it still needs more tweaking.

Thanks alot rjhargrav..!! Just a reminder - when naming your files, please keep the section names as they are printed in the magic window - in this case, use section 06 and not 6. It makes the file sorting simpler for Kikisaulite if it is done in this way.

Thanks again..!!

Righto - thanks.

Does anyone know of a reliable pronunciation guide for unfamiliar names in the text?

Also, in the magic window, is there a way to go back from the "Link to Text", rather than refreshing the whole thread?

Thanks in advance.
