The zip file is huge (1.4GB), and there sometimes seems to be a problem with large files getting corrupted on download from archive.org where our files are stored.

Unless someone else comes along with a better idea, I can only suggest that you download the files individually from http://www.archive.org/details/count_monte_cristo_0711_librivox .

There are rather a lot of them, and perhaps a download manager would help. I have never used one myself, but have seen www.downthemall.net/ recommended.

I'll download and split the zip file into two (or possibly three) parts and re-upload to archive. Check back this weekend or early next week, as I don't know how quickly I can get this done.

EDIT: Downlodaing now, at a bit over 200 KB/sec Windows says it will take about 1 3/4 hours to download. I'll split this into three roughly equal-sized parts and re-upload. (Stickied to remind myself to get this done by this coming weekend.)

Could you do that for the French version too, please? There's been reports of the same problem. (If it's not too demanding on your bandwidth, or course)

Thanks!

Jc, if you can give me a French word and/or abbreviation for "chapter", I'll be glad to.

UPDATE: French version is now split, but splitting of the English version is still in progress.
