Okay, finished modification.
The file is here. Third-person proofreading might improve them more. But I did everything I could do about those documents.

BTW, How to listen page has such description:
If you have any troubles, please contact kayray, with subject line: “LibriVox help.”
I've translated this sentence literally, but can she support troubles from Japan? If there seem to be difficulty, I think this description should be modified or deleted.

If you have some trouble about Japanese, feel free to call me.

Thanks a lot, KataGatar.

I do not know what is wrong but the characters do not show properly when I open the files in notepad (or other).
I get something similar to this page for all of them:
<h2><img src="http://librivox.org/wp-content/uploads/2009/05/flag_of_japan.png"> LibriVox‚ւ̘A—æ</h2>
<ul>
<li>˜A—‚ðŽæ‚éŽè’i‚Í<a href="http://librivox.org/forum">ƒtƒH[ƒ‰ƒ€</a>‚ª<strong>ˆê”Ô‚¨Š©‚ß</strong>‚Å‚·B</li>
<li>eƒ[ƒ‹‚ł̘A—æ‚́A<a href="mailto:info[AT]librivox.org">info[ƒAƒbƒgƒ}[ƒN]librivox[ƒhƒbƒg]org</a>‚Å‚·B</li>
<li><a href="http://librivox.org/feedback/feedback-japanese/">ƒtƒB[ƒhƒoƒbƒN</a>‚ð•Ô‚µ‚½‚¢A‚Æ‚¢‚¤•û‚Í‚±‚¿‚ç‚ð‚²——‚‚¾‚³‚¢B</li>
</ul>

The characters do not show properly either when copied and pasted on the website (Unicode UTF-8 or other character encoding).

Coudl someone else download the zipfile and see whether it's just my computer ?
Do you think re-saving them as I did would work?

Could you leave "LibriVox help" in English and add that people should write in English (I don't believe Kara knows the languages in which the site is being translated).

Cheers,
Ezwa

Encoding is Japanese(Shift_JIS)

Works in my Chrome browser.

Well, I don't think I have that encoding.

Could you copy and paste the texts sent by KataGatar on the site, Jc?
The links to all the pages in Japanese are a few posts up and the filenames correspond to the names of those pages.

To ezwa,
Okay, I've uploaded UTF version here:
http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/ez/LVhp_Jpn_Mod_UTF.zip

You may add:
英語以外でのメールはお返事できない可能性がありますので、英語でお願いします。
This sentence means:
"We might have some trouble in reading and replying non-Engish email. Please write in English."

Toppage's first paragraph seems good to add this description to.

Thanks, KataGatar!

I've updated the pages.

I've added it after Kara's email and in http://librivox.org/contact-librivox/contact-librivox-japanese/ .
But I'm not sure where you mean on the top-page.

I'll probably add it on the feedback page as well.

Hi!

I'm from Austria! If you have something that needs translating into German or if something needs proofreading I'd be happy to help out!

Thanks for the offer, Aravis! :-)

The wiki still has to be updated for the German translation to go on.
I'll let you know when it's done.

Hello, I have not been here for a while. How are you going on with the translations? Can I help with any Czech translations/corrections? Please let me know - I would be happy to help.

Hi guenuche,

The Czech homepage transaltion is in the wiki: http://librivox.org/wiki/moin.cgi/CzechHomepageTranslation .
You can go ahead and translate it, if you want.
http://librivox.org/forum/posting.php?mode=editpost&p=352699
You will find some useful information here: http://librivox.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=38026#38026 and there: http://librivox.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=180891#180891 .

EDIT:

Aravis,

if you are still willing, you can go ahead and work on the German translation.
I haven't made the changes I wanted to on the ( http://librivox.org/wiki/moin.cgi/GermanHomepageTranslation ) and don't know when I'd find the time to do it. So I simply updated it all without filling in what has already been translated previously.

You'll find previous translations here: http://librivox.org/wiki/moin.cgi/GermanHomepageTranslationToBeUpdatedAfter200708 . They might save you a fair bit of work.

Cheers,
Ezwa

Sorry, but there's a correction. Would you change http://librivox.org/list-translated-pages-japanese/'s first heading,
日本語訳されたページ
into
日本語版解説ページ
?

And there's a suggestion. I think it would be great help for non-English speakers if there are contents especially for them. For example, translation of this FAQ and other guides, future prospects about LibriVox's multilingual projects, what LibriVox wants non-English speakers to do (listen to recordings? join the forum? record non-English works? or establish another audio library which associate with LibriVox?), and so on.

Hello, KataGatar!

Thanks. :-)
I've made the modification on the Japanese page (in the wiki too).

As for your suggestion, it's a very good idea.
If you feel like translating or explaining something (for the FAQ, it could be in a post under the present one. It could be in new pages in the wiki), you're most welcome to it.

I moved the Farsi page over to the new wiki. Could someone please check that the right-to-left has been applied properly? It would be much appreciated. Thanks!

BTW, I'm currently moving the translation pages over to the new wiki. Could the translators please work in the new wiki pages?

(PM me to get an account for the new wiki)

Sorry for the trouble.
