[Complete] The Brothers Karamazov by F. Dostoyevsky - ry
Hello Cicorée,
sure, chapters 26 and 28 are yours. Thank you for volunteering!
As I had to orphan a section, there is again one chapter to claim. Therefore you all have still the opportunity to contribute to this book!

Rainer,
Hello.
Could I please claim section 29?
If that works out, I'm new to LibriVox... so my name and website are:
Rachel Steely www.rachelsteely.com.
Thanks

Hi Rainer -
Here is Section 58 (Book 9, Chapter 5):
http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/ry/brotherskaramazov_58_dostoyevsky.mp3
Duration: 30 mins 33 secs
I suppose that will be my last - unless any orphans turn up in fur hats. If not, I will save myself for Prince Myshkin...
Best wishes
Martin

Hello Rachel,
welcome to LibriVox and thanks for volunteering!
Section 29 (Book 4, Chapter 5) is yours.
Obviously you are already informed with some of our processes. I marked your catalogue name and website down in our database. But I'll tell you the basics anyway: if you look at the first post of this thread, you will see every information about the recording process. If you need some general help with recording, you can take a look at our wiki:
http://librivox.org/wiki/moin.cgi/NewbieGuideToRecording
But if you have any other question, don't hesitate to ask.
And hello Martin,
thank you so much for your recording. And if you are still interested in this book: a orphan already appeared - section 20 (Book 3, Chapter 7) is free to grab again.
Rainer

Hi Rainer
Do I need to do anything more on Section 41, which I uploaded some time ago? It is not marked complete.
Regards
Martin

No, was just me who had to do something: I added the listen link, but forgot to mark the section as complete. Thank you for asking and pointing this out to me!

Hi. Section 36, The Grand Inquisitor, is now ready, at http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/ry/brotherskaramazov_36_dostoyevsky.mp3. Gary, or whoever is doing the PL, please note that if you're comparing it to the text in the magic window or the text to which Rayner has provided a link, there is an extra few minutes in the middle of this recording. That's because the text provided in the magic window is missing a chunk that is in the Gutenberg version and at least the one published version I've looked at. Please let me know of any needed edits.

Sorry, I forgot to include the length of the recording of section 36 in my last post. It's 59:16.

Second correction. I inadvertently added a period at the end of the upload link two posts above. It should be http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/ry/brotherskaramazov_36_dostoyevsky.mp3

Bob,
Whether we can keep the omitted text or not is Rainer's call. Because we identified the translator the key question might be if the omitted text is a transcription error or if the traslator deleted it.
I do not have a PD copy so I have no basis for comparison.
