...I'm nervous. Why? Because it's a musical. I haven't done one of those in about 15 years and I can count on one hand the number of musicals I've done because...I suck at song selection.

Fortunately, this time the director is a friend of mine and that makes it a bit easier. I think I got a couple of good show tunes to do for them so Saturday it happens.

Fiddler on the Roof.

Oy vey.

Break a leg, SJ! :) (does the "good luck" superstition apply to auditions?)

Just came back. Bad news: Tevya has been pre-cast (I was going specifically for Tevya). Made me sore because they didn't say a damn thing about it in the email audition notice I got. Only after going to the website I see it.

However, I got over it, as I'm in the running for Lazar Wolf and the guy playing Tevya is a good friend that I work well with. It'll be fun if I get it. I'll keep you guys posted.

Hey there,

Thanks for the well-wishing, guys. Well, it turned out that I got the part of Lazar Wolf. It'll be fun.

I honestly wanted Tevya, too, but Lazar was a blast for me. You get a great song, and it's a role with enough meat to sink your teeth into, not so big that you feel all the pressure. Mazeltov!
