Can anyone help?
I have emailed microsoft.

My windows xp does not respond when I plug in my Logitech USB desktop Microphone.

No "New Hardware Wizard" pops up.

I have unplugged, restarted, stood on my head(under my computer desk) and nothing seems to matter.

The power light is lit on the mike.

Ideas?

Thanks.

Have you looked at this thread?

It seems to be a similar problem.

Below are two similar problems from the Logitech support forums.

The Logitech support people usually ask the customer to try the
microphone in another computer to help see if the problem is the mic
or the individual PC.

That is possible Harvey but as far as I can make out - no install wizard comes up for the mike cos it doesn't need one - it will just work.
That is certainly what happened in my case.
The light is on - it will work , just try it in something that will use it.

And when it doesn't get back to us :D

Splendid! :D
There's honestly no such thing as a stupid question -- but I'm afraid I can't rule out giving a stupid answer : : To Posterity and Beyond!
