[COMPLETE] Sel Poems by Voltairine de Cleyre - cm
Sections 9, 10 and 11 are for you Lucy_k_p.
Yes, include the quote at the start and the info on when and where it was written.
Read the title of section 10 the best you can but if you feel unsure about it ask for someone to read the latin title in the "Need Help? Got Advice?" subforum.
Pronounce the poet's name the best you can. Accents do not matter here. Just at the start of the recordings, the readers pronounce the poet's name so you could listen to any of the recordings already done for an idea.

I'm going with Volter-ene de Clare.Lucy_k_p wrote:I'll claim section 10 too actually, although help pronouncing the title would be appreciated.
Also, how are people pronouncing the poet's name?
Which could be utterly wrong...!

I *believe* it is Volt-air-ine, exactly as it is spelled. I think it may be a feminized version of Voltaire.Llewod wrote:I'm going with Volter-ene de Clare.Lucy_k_p wrote:Also, how are people pronouncing the poet's name?

American Psychology 1922-1947. It's the nearest thing to American Psycho that we are allowed to record.

Let me know if they sound particularly wonky and I'll rerecord - After noise cleaning I can never tell if they echo too much or not.

So little space, so much to say.

I just listened to section 9 compared to the other 2 I recorded and noticed the difference. I have discovered this was because my microphone was plugged into the wrong jack point. As this was my own silly fault, I have re-recorded and re-uploaded. In this version, I do not sound like I'm underwater.

Hello,
Could somebody tell me how locals pronounce Waldheim in the context of Waldheim Cemetery near Chicago?
I know the German pronunciation (IPA: [walthaim]) but places names (and people's as well) often stray from rules:-)
Thanks a lot for your help.
Cheers
