One quick thing to check is which microphone Audacity thinks it's using. In the Preferences under Audio I/O, look to see what devices are available under Recording. If your external mic is plugged in, it should recognise that one, as well as the built-in one.
Hope that helps a little.

That gets us to about half-way. I'd like to suggest a target of Jan 31st - if you have an outstanding chapter, perhaps you could post here (or PM me, or email me) to say whether you think that's ok? I'll chase up anyone I don't hear from in the next couple of days...
Sounds good. I have one more section -- will record when my cold's better.

I'm a newbie here, just found this site and realized I'm duplicating what you guys are doing! Feel free to use any of my chapters that I've completed, only 1-5 so far.
The more public domain readings, the better ! Thanks for the offer; I think we're aiming to finish about the same time as you will, so if anyone drops out, maybe we can 'borrow' your readings to fill the gaps!
And you are going to join us in doing so other readings, aren't you....?

Yes of course! I signed up for a chapter of Ulysses, a bit daunting but should be fun. I did the weekly poem. I hope to do more soon, and to get my P&P moving faster sometime next week when I'm through with this round of finals.
Let me know if you need any chapters! Okay, off to write more papers...

That would work quite nicely for me, thanks for making the deadline after the holidays!
Also, welcome Anne, I'm also a public domain podcaster, in fact that's pretty much the name of my podcast.

Gesine - thanks. For those who missed it in 'orphaned chapters', 47-49 are available. Well, were available. Now it's 47-48. Get in quick, limited stocks, everything must go.
