Jungle Tales of Tarzan by Edgar Rice Burroughs.

Complete! All audio files can be found on our catalog page:
http://librivox.org/jungle-tales-of-tarzan-by-edgar-rice-burroughs/

Jungle Tales of Tarzan is a collection of twelve loosely-connected short stories written by Edgar Rice Burroughs, comprising the sixth book in order of publication in his series about the title character Tarzan. Chronologically, the events recounted in it actually occur between chapters 12 and 13 of the first Tarzan novel, Tarzan of the Apes. (Summary from Wikipedia)
  • Target completion date: Feb. 20, 2009
  • Text source (only read from this text!): http://www.gutenberg.org/etext/106
  • Type of proof-listening required: See the FAQ in the Listeners/Editors Wanted forum for information, and copy from there the description of the type of proof-listening needed for this project.

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project will be opened up to a group project as soon as a Book Coordinator can be found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to have it re-instated).

Uploader weirdness of some sort. That's the only Section 1 in there. Usually it renames like that only when a replacement file is uploaded. I think this happens from time to time.

Thanks for the assist, Laurie Anne. Yeah, the uploader does sometimes hiccup and add the date/time stamp the the end of a filename even when it isn't replacing a file. I'll rename the file when I get a chance and fix all the links.

And we're off to Going Solo!

Hmm... I think my notifications are broken again. Anyway, MW is updated now. Paul, hope you don't mind - I went into your folder and renamed the file.

Not at all...I really should go into the database and make you the MC, and move the files into your folder. :P But we'll leave things as they are. Feel free to rename or do whatever else is necessary with files...except deleting them! :D

Hee hee... you know I never delete anything without asking you to back it up first! Well, almost never...

(Ralph and Leni - Paul and I have very different philosophies about back-ups. ;) )

Hello there

I just wanted to leave a message saying I'm having some problems visiting LV - not because of LV, but because I (finally!) moved, and, in the middle of all the confusion and drama of going from one city to another with husband, kid and a truckload of things, I still don't have internet installed in my house.

If all goes well, it will be installed at some point before Friday. I downloaded the new section and will listen to it, but I'd like to apologize for the delay already :? since I don't know when I'll post the PLing notes. As soon as possible, I promise!

Nice to hear from you, Leni. Don't worry about LV. Real life does tend to get in the way sometimes...

I have several moving horror stories of my own, so I can totally sympathize. And isn't it terrible how life falls apart when there's no internet access?
