Audacity will automatically add .mp3 to your file. What you did is put it in there in the file name so it is there twice.

Hello Dave,

Esther is right (thanks for giving the quick answer!), but you don't have to upload the chapters again. I simply renamed them on the server.
Thank you so much for your contributions! :D

Hello JohnWKEllis, acey and officerbingo!

A warmly welcome to LibriVox to all of you and thanks for volunteering! I'm glad that this project attracts so many new volunteers.

JohnWKEllis, section 3 is yours!

acey, you are marked down for sections 4 and 5!

officerbingo, section 10 is reserved for you!

I hope you all have fun with recording.
To make sure that you understand how it all works around here, I can give you the tip to carefully read the first post . And make sure that you read from the right book of "War and Peace" - in the Gutenberg text it's a little bit confusing, as all books are in the same text file.
Furthermore, here are some tips for new volunteers. It explains how to record and all the other processes here
http://librivox.org/wiki/moin.cgi/NewbieGuideToRecording
However, if you have any more questions, just ask.
Just one more question from my side: how you want to appear in the catalogue? This can be either your forum name, a pseudonym or your real name (just as you like it).

Greetings to all of you, :D

Rainer
