Oh, I forgot to mark you down. Sorry!
But luckily noone else claimed the chapter, therefore no harm is done. Just send in your recording, I'm eagerly awaiting it. :D

Greetings and thanks!

Rainer
I have tried to send 36 but the upload site either sais:pathway does not exist or it is asking for a user ID and password. This is new? What shall i do?

Can you also sign me up for ch. 30.
thanks, Éva

Oh, no! :(
The web hoster sent me an email that they are moving the servers and that there could be problems afterwards. The truth is that I have no idea what's the problem with the upload script, as all the files are still at the place where they used to be. I have to see if I can get it to work soon.
Meanwhile, could you send the recording in some other way? I'm so sorry for any inconvenience...
And I marked you down for chapter 30. Thanks for volunteering!

Greetings,
Rainer

Rainer,
thanks for the info. yousendit is still no go.
I tried out the official site. Here it is: http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/ry/chapter%2036.mp3
To me this is meaningless and it was complicated. Find"public" easy.
Hope it will be back in the new year?'')
"%20" was not on the original page after chapter when the send was completed.
Will do chapter 30 but may not send it until it gets sorted out , had no time to go to uploader admin site.
happy xmas Éva

Hello Éva,
even if you had problems, it worked perfectly. Thank you! :D
It even worked the first time you tried to send the chapter (it arrived two times at the uploader).

Greetings,
Rainer

Hello! I've listened my way through the first nine books, thought I'd like to start reading! Could I do 34 and 35 please? Thanks.

Hello philippabrodie,

Welcome to LibriVox. I'm glad that you obviously enjoyed the volumes recorded so far and even more delighted that you want to contribute to this project.
I marked you down for chaptes 34 and 35 of this book 10 of "War and Peace". Detailed advice how to proceed for this recording can be found in the first post. Furthermore, there are some general tips for new volunteers in our wiki:
http://librivox.org/wiki/moin.cgi/NewbieGuideToRecording
However, if you have any more questions, just ask.
One more question: how you want to appear in the catalogue? This can be either your forum name, a pseudonym or your real name (just as you like it).

Greetings, :D

Rainer

Hi Rainer,
I just wanted to let you know I've been out of state, got a new computer, and will be gone skiing for a week or so...BUT, I haven't abandoned you and will gladly be reading the chapters I'm signed up for (and others as well.)
Dave.

Hello Phillipa and David,
I received both your files, thank you so much! :D
(I changed the links to your files, because I sorted them into a subfolder on the server)
I just took a quick listen and both your recordings are really great. I'm glad you volunteered for more than one chapter and I'm looking forward to your next recordings.
By the way: I noted your catalogue names down in our database, therefore you don't have to repeat them in you (hopefully many) future recordings.

Greetings and a happy new year,
Rainer
