The title should start with '03' and not '3', as it determines the order in which the files will be played ('3' would be played last instead of after '02').
That, and it should have at least part of the chapter title, right? It shouldn't just be "Chapter 3" (or "chapter 03").

Sorry, left that out of my last post, didn't I?

Right, it should be: 03 - Tobacco Triumphant (continued)

Let's leave the remainder of the section title off., these are darn long titles on this one! :)

Sections 4 and 11 have been orphaned as past due claims and reclaimed by another reader. This happens from time to time, life gets in the way of stuff, but luckily in this case there's no harm, no fowl. Please don't let this discourage anyone from volunteering again when time allows, we've all been there! :D

I started to record chapter 11, but it's got a good amount of both Greek and French in it. I am pretty wretched with both those languages.

Either someone else is welcome to claim it, or I'll need LOTS of help to make it sound halfway correct.

What I've done in the past when I had pieces in languages I didn't want to attempt, I would post in help wanted with the particulars, and someone would kindly volunteer to read those parts for me and I would then insert their audio into my chapter file. It worked really well. This is such an international site that there's hardly a language nobody speaks.

Do you want to try that? It just gives you a warm fuzzy to work together with someone like that, it's fun! :)

And THANKS for chapter 4!!!!!!

I've gotten the French read; waiting on the Greek. Once that's added, it'll be done.

I started working on PL for section 14. Here's as far as I got:

ID Tags: Has chapter title in all caps - should be title case (Can the MC fix this?)

Needs noise removal and maybe some amplification - might be too quiet.

Can someone else put their ear to this section? I imported it into Audacity and did a noise reduction for my own listening, but I find it really hard to understand due to the quality. It could be that the noise reduction took out some of the detail of the voice as well. It might need to be re-recorded in a different environment.

I found this thread in Completed projects...I think this was supposed to go to Readers Found, not Completed Projects. If I am in error, feel free to move it back to Completed Projects. :D

i just fixed my errors in section 03, but then audacity told me it couldn't find parts of the file or something, and bottom line, exported an mp3 with the last minute missing. it won't let me paste the good stuff into a new file, either, for the same reason. help?

Wow. I don't know.

Maybe you should post over in the Help section?

I'll take a listen to Ch 14, then we can compare notes. :)

Readers Found is good. Although I think we'll have a couple of orphans looking for readers shortly.

Thanks Mary!
