Jeremiah It's PERFECT! One of the best first recordings I have heard here!

Bit and sample rates perfect. Volume perfect (Though you wouldn't want to go any louder or you will get clipping).

Now head on over to readers wanted and pick something to record.

<shameless plug .. The Lincoln Story Book is a great place to start. The sections are short and easy to read. <end shamless plug>

You have a very nice voice katmaca. The recording is a bit quiet though and you have some background hiss so simply amplifying it won't work as it will increase the noise too. Can you increase the mic input? What operating system are you using and what kind of mic? (USB or analogue?)

Your bit and sample rates are perfect. Even the tags look good to me (but I am not the coordinator of this collection)

Esther :)

Thanks for your most helpful comments. I noticed that my recordings are a bit quiet, but as you've pointed out, amplifying them wouldn't work, either. The reason is, I later discovered, my mic is not a professional one. I'll get a good one ASAP. I hope this way I can improve my recordings. Can you advise me on whether I should get a USB or analogue?
I hope to hear your comments in the future to improve myself.
Take care and have a nice day.

There are some suggestions here:

It doesn't have to be professional. Many "gaming" mics do a decent job too.

Definitely go with USB if you want to plug directly into the computer.

Thanks a lot! Everything is great. Please remember to leave 5 seconds of silence at the end, though.

Amplified & re-uploaded files (2 poems by Lola Ridge -- Dedication; SunUp).
File already exists: the original file has been renamed.
