Chip,
I seem to have deleted my copy of:
11-08 THE FOX AND THE HEDGEHOG <earthcalling>
I don't suppose you downloaded it from my server when I first posted the link?

LOL! Funny how he ate dinner with the President of China yesterday... Just TRY to get that kind of service out of Microsoft as a private citizen!jbieber wrote:I think I'll blame Bill Gates instead of myself, just because it makes me feel better.
Actually not, though it does get confusing when I try to remember which have been done and which have not. Hercules and Minerva was just fine - a huge improvement over the previous ones. But the second one just didn't come through for some reason. The YouSendIt page opened up just fine, but the Download link just never appeared. Looks like the last two characters were cut off of the URL in the second one.jbieber wrote:You must be awfully tired of hearing these fables by now.
One more thing: don't break the text of the URL. If you let it go all on a single line, then it becomes a hot-clickable link here in the forum. They way you sent it, it has to be copied into a text document and reassembled in order to past it into the address bar of a browser window. Just send them like this:

I'm almost certain that I have it David, but I don't have it here at work with me. I'll check when I get home and send you a more definitive answer.earthcalling wrote:I seem to have deleted my copy of:

Hi Chip, I will resend the Runaway Slave to yousend it after work; it is on my home computer. When I cut and pasted the link from yousendit, it broke into two lines, don't know why. Not something I'd do intentionally, for obvious reasons. Glad the volume issue seems to have been resolved. Judy
Hi Chip, I just used this link to get to Runaway Slave and it worked. Here it is.

Well, I got The Runaway Slave, but the sound level is down to almost zero. Are you sure you sent the right one?

Gee, I guess I sent you the link for the earlier version. This had better work!

I apologise for my delay in getting my chapters read. A job assignment has consumed my time and I won't be able to do this project for at least another week. Since I don't want to be the cause of completion being delayed then you are very welcome to open the 3 chapters I chose to other readers. If no one wants to do it, I should be able to do them within a couple of weeks.
Thanks
Thanks

Welcome to LibriVox, westwinds12!
Sorry for the delay; my schedule changed and I don't have as much time for LibriVox as I wish I had. I seem to have gotten both of your fables, though I'll have to wait until I get home to actually download them. Thanks for the heads-up!

I think I recorded that one. The Quack Doctor, no big deal though.

Hello!
If it's OK, I'd like to submit two recordings:
11-05 The Lion, the Wolf, and the Fox
11-06 Hercules and Plutus
I have them over on my site:
http://hallenius.org/librivox/fables_11_05_aesop.mp3
http://hallenius.org/librivox/fables_11_06_aesop.mp3
I would like to be listed as Ken Hallenius
http://manofleisure.us
I'd love some feedback, as these are some of the first recordings I've done at home.
