Hi,
I just listened to
Patricia Brent, spinster
by Herbert Jenkins. I had a long drive up to Hayward Wisconsin and listening to that book as I drove along was delightful. There were times during the long lonely drive that I just burst out laughing. The miles flew by.
Anna Simon read beautifully.
I am listening to it again, I know I missed some of the humor.
I want to thank you all for what you are doing. Kindest Regards, Betty

Don't you just love that Dutch accent? She is a great reader, I agree. Thanks for taking the time to post. I will make sure she sees this.

I'm about to load Patricia Brent onto my iPod. Looking forward to it!

Thank you Betty - you have just made my day

I am very glad you liked it.
I liked the book, too. I can just picture it as a period-costume Hollywood movie.

Agreed, it was an excellent book, splendidly read. Thanks for reading it, Anna, I'd never have read it otherwise.
So it was a Dutch accent, was it? I was trying to place it all the way through

It's a very pretty accent.

Thanks guys! It was a lot of fun to read.
I'm glad to hear the accent isn't distracting too much. Yes, I'm 100% Dutch (though I did live in the USA for 2 years recently) - my name is so very international, it might almost belong to any nationality

I loved the story indeed!!! I think I listened to it about 5 times consecutively before I moved on.
I thought the accent was really strange at first but now i can't imagine hearing it any other way .... I actually entertained idea's of reading it myself but I'm not certain I can trip Moscropsmythe?? off my tongue so convincingly as Anna.
Well done. Lovely reading!.
