Would someone please tell me if the volume is all right this time?
Edited to add: Oh dear! I completely failed to notice that mcrandall had already done this one. Many apologies, we'll call mine practice.

Hello,
This is my first LibriVox recording. Forgive me if someone else was going to record these two. They were so short that I went ahead and recorded them:
11-15 The Fox and the Bramble
11-16 The Fox and the Snake

Please put me down as Peter Cobb, no url.
Thank you for any advice.

Hi Chip, I did two chapters of At the Back of the North Wind over the weekend and after getting some feedback, I strongly suspect that the volume on the fables I did was too low. They are so short that I'd be happy to do them again. Any additional feedback would be gratefully appreciated.
I think you'll find that both of these have already been done...I know I did 11-22 and I think cbgrf already spoke for 11-11.pipacsos wrote:Hi Chip,
I'd like to record:

No problem, I just simply took two fables next to which I saw no name. I see only now that 11-11 was really requested, and you were diligent enough to record the fable without waiting for Chip's feedback. Great! I used to do the same, but I just caused a similar kinda chaos with my hustle like this here...So I thought I'd better lower the speed and keep on to the rules of -choose-request-get a feedback-do it-send it-thank you-enjoy it-basta...
It would be a great help, if we didn't need to read the whole page through to find out which ones are already requested, though.
But I'm easy, as I see there are quite a few fables that are still waiting to be recorded - at least according to the first page with the list of fables - so I'd like to take
11-24 THE HORSE AND THE ASS
11-25 THE DOG CHASING A WOLF

11-22 THE SERPENT AND THE EAGLE
11-23 THE ROGUE AND THE ORACLE
11-24 THE HORSE AND THE ASS
11-25 THE DOG CHASING A WOLF
I'll try to get them done tonight.

All right thanks for letting me know Michelle.
Chip, I'm new to this but I'd like to help. Are there any unclaimed fables?

Nope, they're all yours Chuck!cbgrf wrote: Hope nobody beat me to it!
They sound pretty good too. On your next readings, you might try to make them a little louder, but other than that they're just fine. Excellent first readings - thanks!
Do let us know how you'd like to be listed on the Catalog page too. Name? URL?

It's great practice, particularly since your version was SO soft. Though I can enhance it electronically, it'd be great if you could make the original louder.Dragoness wrote:Would someone please tell me if the volume is all right this time?

But that bit aside, I really liked the reading. Nice and clear and very well paced.

Got them both, Peter. Thanks for sending them in! You don't need to read them quite so slowly; try reading them as if you were reading to a kid at bedtime and they'll sound just great. From a technical perspective they were both excellent - nice and loud with negligable background noise.peterc wrote:Hello,
