Job ASV
. [Translated by Translator].

This project is now complete. All audio files can be found on our catalog page: http://librivox.org/book-of-job-version-2-by-american-standard-version/
God permits "Satan," or in some translations "the adversary" or "the accuser," to put the virtue of Job to the test, at first by giving him power over his property, but forbidding him to touch his person. Satan begins by taking away all of Job's riches, his livestock, his house, his servants, and his children; a series of four messengers informs him that they have perished in various tragedies. In the meantime, only three of Job's friends come to visit him in his misfortune — Eliphaz the Temanite, Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite. A fourth, Elihu the Buzite, first begins talking in chapter 32 and bears a distinguished part in the dialogue; his arrival is not noted. The friends spend a week sitting on the ground with Job, without speaking, until Job at last breaks his silence and complains of his misery. (Summary by Wikipedia)

Hi Sam! I'll get this one set up for you.
I remember how, in college, I got that part-time job as a circus clown, and how the children would laugh and laugh at me. I vowed, then and there, that I would get revenge.

at 1:09 reader says teach in place of tell.
12:7 . . . ask the birds of heaven and they shall tell thee;
at 5:40 reader has missed verses 26, 27, and 28 of chapter 13
at 22:26 reader has added the word 'the'
20:4 . . . since man was placed upon "the" earth.
this last point can be overlooked unless the reader wants the recording to be word perfect.

Selrea, could you provide this information please:

1. The chapter and verse (e.g. 3:2) of the correction.
2. The entire sentence (even if it is long) containing the correction. Please copy and paste this.

If not, I can look these up. But, this takes a little time, whoever searches for this information; it's easier to jot this down while PL. No problem either way this time though. :-) Thanks for your hard work.

Thanks,

Sam

apologies for my comment not being clear.
i'll try to explain, i may have to split this into multiple comments as i've got a limit of 450 characters on my phone.
1) Ch 12 ver 7
But ask now the beast, and they shall teach thee; Ask the birds of heavens, and they shall tell thee;

however in the recording at 1:09 reader says "and they shall teach thee " instead of
"and they shall tell thee"
continued . . .

2) in the recording at 5:40 where reader closes chapter 13 the verses 26, 27 and 28 are missing.
3) Ch 20 verse 4
Knowest thou not this of old time,
Since man was placed upon earth.
in the above verse at 22:26 reader has added the word "the" and hence it is recorded as
. . . Since man was placed upon "the" earth.
Hope this helps.
I hope i'm not being too critical, if I am please do let me know.

Selvin

chapter 22 verse 1 is missed out by reader at 3:41

the rest of the recording is ok.
(i hope we can ignore slight buzzes and thumps that does not affect the listening pleasure.)
thanks

i've listened to section 5 and it appears the reader has missed verse 31 of chapter 36 at 14:47 in the recording.
'For by these he judgeth the peoples; he giveth food in abundance'
the rest is ok

I've listened to section 6
at 3:37 this sounds like an error reading verse 33 of chapter 38 and needs to be edited.
"Knowest those the ordinances of the heavens? Can thou establish the dominion there of in the cloud"
the correct verse 33 then follows.
Also at 10:30 reader says Chapter "42 " in place of Chapter 41.
the rest is ok.
