"Pronounce" is a handy little Firefox extension that Librivox readers might find useful:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1689

With the extension installed, highlight a word on any web page, right click, and choose "Pronounce" from the context menu. The Pronounce add-on will look up the word for you in the online Merriam Webster dictionary and play the pronunciation audio so you'll know how to say it.

Pronounce is a free download for all platforms running Firefox, and it's Firefox 3-ready.

So, if you get your text from Gutenberg in HTML format, and use Firefox, you can quickly get a pronunciation for words you may be unsure of.

Thanks, Kara!

Even though I haven't done any reading in quite a while, I still lurk about every now and again...

Oooh.. very neat!
I remember how, in college, I got that part-time job as a circus clown, and how the children would laugh and laugh at me. I vowed, then and there, that I would get revenge.
