One is FULL and the other is a SOLO, so maybe that's why they aren't on there. Is that right?

Reading this thread I see it is updated manually, by mightyfelix. It's nice to know of the duties LV members take on besides the obvious recording, PL'ing, BC'ing, MC'ing and editing. Thank you.
You're right. I omit anything from the table that is not currently looking for volunteers, as either a reader or a DPL.

Thanks for mentioning this. When something like this happens, it usually means something that should have been changed behind the scenes was missed, which is indeed the case this time. I've changed the status of that re-mothballed project so it won't show up next time. If I get ambitious later on, I'll also take it out of this week's table, but at least we know it won't show up next week!

Please do point out any other glitches of this kind that you notice, and I'll be happy to address them. :)

Hello!

To suggest: is it possible to add a column in the table showing the date when the initial forum post was made (e.g. the one with the MW)?

I like to help getting the older projects to completion. Unfortunately, right now, the only way to find out which active project is the oldest is by going to a subsection and pressing Ctrl+F (Find) on my browser for each page. :?

(Unless one can show me an existing way to find out which is the oldest active project on Librivox without using good ol' Ctrl + F :D )

Good idea, but it would be hard to implement. That's not in our table data to pull from, and it would be a lot of work to find that info each time. (Technically, the table isn't updated each time; it's replaced. So the dates would have to be researched and manually added each time the table's updated.)

I know that some people wanting to help that way check the readers wanted columns and look at the threads with the oldest last post on the last page. At least it gives a place to start .

Hello!

I keep seeing 'The Cold Heart' on the table as having 0 out of 3 sections assigned, and then I go and see what it is and I find that it is finished. Should it perhaps be removed from the table?

Thank you!

It'll fall off when the table is updated. :)

EDIT: Or, wait - it looks like there's a duplicate database entry - same project thread, different number. I'll clean that out, and THEN it'll fall off when the table's updated!

Thanks! I clear out any duplicate entries I find as I'm updating, but I had missed this one. The table is up to date as of about 12 hours ago, btw!

I'm curious about how certain projects are listed on this table. I've been keeping an eye on the "Needs DPL section" and noticed particularly Celtic Tales, Told to the Children. This was a solo started in May 2023 that doesn't appear to have had anything done on it since it was started. Would this be one that would normally be archived due to inaction, or is it being held onto because it's a solo? It's just one that caught my attention because I love Celtic Fairy Tales and I was sad to see it stalled.

Exactly when a stalled project gets officially abandoned depends on the MC of the project. Some MCs hold on longer than others.

Got it! Here's hoping it starts back up then and still needs a DPL :D

Sometimes with the Solos it depends on what the Soloist wants - there can be good realistic reasons why they are unable to record for some time and they may prefer not to stand on a hill and shout about it. We run an open forum - anyone is able to read it. Including bots. Anne

Hmm. That one's mine, and I'm terrible at letting an embarrassing amount of time flow by without even noticing. :hmm: I've been thinking that sometime this month, I should really check on all those lingering projects I'm MCing and try to clean them up. Thanks!

Thanks again for bringing this to my attention. I'm turning it into a group project. Be sure to post in the thread if you still would like to DPL, and I'll be happy to add you in. viewtopic.php?t=92954
