LibriVox Community Podcast: New Year, New Goals, New Plans
The year is ending and that always brings about the thrill of looking forward and setting goals! I would love to hear what your plans for the next year are.
Just an additional note for any who would like to contribute but don't feel comfortable recording when they don't have a prewritten script. I am happy to record (or find a recorder) to read what you would like said if you send me a PM or comment it here. You don't have to record your own part
I would very much like to do a section in this podcast highlighting languages other than English, especially ones that don't have very many recordings. Please feel free to submit in your preferred language for this.
Suggestions (but feel free to submit whatever feels on theme):
-Do you have a special book you've been meaning to get to that you'd like to record this year.
-Is there a project that's taking a while to finish up that you'd like to see done.
-Would you like to try another aspect of the LibriVox process, or a different format: BC, PL, Editor, or recording a dramatic role for the first time
-Is there a number you would like to try and help LibriVox achieve this year, or personally
In addition, we are always looking for theme suggestions or memories from the archives (if you find a funny thread or post as you're digging through the forum, post it here and it can be included in the podcast).
To put this podcast together, I need your help! Please record your own holiday greeting or thoughts on what you've learned submission. Try to keep your remarks to about 2 to 4 minutes. If you want to ramble a bit longer, and leave it to me to choose the best bits to use in the podcast, I will do that. Understand that I may not be able to use your entire recording. I will edit as seems best, for instance, if several people repeat very similar remarks, or if some remarks are off the topic, or too political, or if the podcast is running too long. I'll keep all the best bits, though!
If you are a PL'er or listener, and have something to say, but you don't want to record, you can still participate by typing your comments in this thread, indicating that you are willing for them to be used in the podcast, or fire me a PM.
Name your file goalsandplanspodcast_[readername].mp3
Upload your file with the LibriVox Uploader: https://librivox.org/login/uploader
(If you have trouble reading the image above, please message an admin)
You'll need to select the MC, which for this project is: ColleenMc
Once your file is finished uploading, please post the link here.
I will collect submissions throughout the month of December, with the goal of having the podcast ready to go by January 10.
Since I will need a few days to edit the podcast, I'd appreciate having all submissions by December 31.

You're welcome!
Since you are thinking of having a section in this podcast highlighting languages other than English, maybe you could make a post in the other languages forum. Like what you did for the previous one.
Have a great day!

Ooh! If the 20,000th project gets catalogued before this gets released, we can put an announcement about it in the podcast!
Do you think it's a good idea?

Just giving this another boost and making a note that you do not have to record your own contribution. If you would rather just write something down, I would be happy to record it for you, or find someone else to who may be interested. Just send me a PM or leave a comment here with what you would like said
