OPEN[PLAY]Old Scrooge by Scott - thw
thank you, that singing was lovely. Is it a famous song ? I didn't know the tune. Or did you just invent it ?Owler wrote: ↑November 12th, 2024, 9:29 amHere are the Act 1 carolling voice and Act 2 voice outside

Voice outside is already PL ok.
Could you just please extend the voice credit to all that is written in the MW for the carolling voice, as this is how it will be written up in the cast list. It should read: "Carolling voice at door, read by..."
thanks
Sonia
I’ve just uploaded my recording of Mr. Fatching from Act 4. Hope it hits the mark and fits well with the rest.

it sounds excellent, thank you very much. I hope you enjoy "acting it out" and we'll be hearing you in many other plays to come. I loved the laughs you inserted at the right spots, they make it very lively.BvanG wrote: ↑November 13th, 2024, 4:04 pmI’ve just uploaded my recording of Mr. Fatching from Act 4. A few things to correct still:
> for the voice credit, please always read the whole description, as noted in the MW: "Mr. Fatchin, Scrooge's business friend, read by..."
> from 0:10 to 0:27: "act 4...etc" - you can cut the disclaimer here, this is read by the narrator. You only have to read the lines for your character
> at 1:45: "end of act 4" - can also be deleted, also the narrator's part
> at the end: 5 seconds of silence are enough for any LV section, you don't need 43 seconds
thanks
Sonia

Here is the re-uploaded file with 'at door' in the voice credit: https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/oldscrooge_carollingvoice_2.mp3
It can be read by a different person.
Thanks, Todd
ah you wrongly named it for act 2 now...but no matter, I put it in the right act in the MW. It's PL ok now, thanks.Owler wrote: ↑November 14th, 2024, 6:33 amThanks so much, i used the tune of 'god rest ye merry gentlemen' that I remembered from church

Hello Kitty,
thanks for the detailed feedback. Glad to hear you enjoyed the take — it’s always fun getting into character.
That silence thing was a classic rookie move. Looks like I forgot to set the render region properly and just let it go wild. Fixed it right away along with the other adjustments.
Thanks again, looking forward to working on many more!
best,
Bart
