However, an advance heads' up that I may come back and ask you to read one or two of Oswald's speeches as if they were the narrator's. The reader who read Oswald has been off LibriVox for a month now, so I'm mentally preparing for what I might need to do to finalize his spot PLs (and this DR). Most of them I could fix myself (silences and minor cuts), but there were a couple of missed lines that I need to get in here somehow.
Thanks,
Hi Wayne,
I've now given up on the possibility of the Oswald reader returning, and had a go at fixing up his outstanding spot PLs.
I'm left with just two lines that were never read. Could I impose on you to read the following two lines into your chapters?
In Chapter 9, please add “Well, she won’t give us fivepence, but if you’d only do as I am always, and rescue a wealthy old gentleman from deadly peril he would give us a pot of money, and we could have the partnership and five pounds a week. Five pounds a week would buy a great many things” at 3:29 of your recording of the chapter, right after "so I said."
In Chapter 15, please add “Father has given you a beastly, nasty dinner, but if you will come to dinner with us tomorrow, we will show you our idea of good things to eat“ at 6:59, just after "This seems like deceit, but if you are a thoughtful and considerate boy you will understand that we could not go down and say to the Uncle in the hall under Father’s eye".
I don't think either of these lines will sound odd read in your voice, as you're also Oswald, after all.
Another question: With the exception of a few very short missing lines, this project is pretty much all in editing now and I've finished preparing scripts, etc., for
The Wouldbegoods, so now I have to find a narrator and editor before I can launch it. Would you be interested in reprising the role of Narrator/Older Oswald? I'd like to launch it in December or January, and the only requirement left is to find a narrator and editor (or decide to edit it myself).
Many thanks,
