Hi dckabir,
I'm new to LibriVox. Today only I got my 1 minute test completed and ready to take up the new reading project.
I have skimmed through the existing and db and besides the long backlog of English books, I was much interested in taking up the Panchatantra book. However, upon learning that all the chapters have been assigned to you, I wish to check if there is any way I can contribute to the reading of any chapter(s) with you.
Thanks!
Congratulations and welcome to LV!
I'm happy to know that you are interested in this book. I'll come back to this in a bit.
I'm sure you have already looked through the various forums and projects we have going in Librivox.
Under the wider umbrella of Forums , you'll find Multilingual, Short works, Books, Drama.
A reader can claim chapters or sections in any of the group projects under these forum heads.
In some projects like Multilingual short works or open poem or story collection, you can contribute any work that is in the public domain ( published before 1927 I think)
In solo projects forum however a reader chooses to read a book all by themselves. This project has been started as a solo project, read in Hindi.
Having said that, since we don't have many Hindi speaking volunteers I chose to go solo on this project.
If you are comfortable reading in Hindi and very keen on this project, I wouldn't mind some help. The meta coordinators of projects can change the project types to dual or group if we request.
I would recommend however that before you commit to a lengthy project, you claim some sections in the short works projects if you like. Think about it and let me know. I'll be happy to help in any way.
Regards
