Progress, but not in the area that concerns us. :|
Gee, this is taking a long time, isn't it. A little over a month with no uploads of new Librivox audiobooks, if I'm understanding the state of play correctly.

Any word from behind the scenes on a likely timeframe for recovery — or is it just 'bite nails and wait' still?
We have no inside line of communication. The information I find comes from what I can glean from https://x.com/internetarchive/ and Brewster Kahle's account, their blog, maybe Reddit - where I can find people from Archive sharing things.

So, still "bite nails and wait" unfortunately!

Still biting nails, but there is more visible evidence of progress. It looks like direct, manual uploads of files are now allowed at Archive.org, so people watching there will notice there are new things on Archive again, even apart from the Wayback Machine. :D

Our upload and cataloging tools use Archive's API, though, which has not been turned on yet. Hopefully that's what they're working on now - doing security checks of that before they turn it back on again. No inside information, but it seems probable enough. We've seen that some of our .zip file downloads are working again, too, so they may be continuing work on that feature too.
