I decided to try and answer the question of what my favourite part of LibriVox was: https://librivox.org/uploads/colleenmc/bestofpodcast_winnifred.mp3 (1:59)

Hope it works with what you've got so far.

Cheers,
Winnifred

It looks like my podcast app still remembers about the Community Podcast. The previous episode was 4 years ago, so it's time.

That's what I was thinking. When the zoom calls were revived recently, I went to check on other community projects and found the planning thread for the podcasts. I'm hoping, since I'm cutting drastically back on my recording and focusing on BC and PL work, to get this going monthly again.

Ok going to drop this here for anyone who would like to give it a proof listen to make sure I didn't miss anything:

Well, you don't have half a second before the LibriVox podcast music. Fix that and it'll be PL OK.

Ok half a second of silence added and this should now be ready to go! Not sure that we can release it with archive still down... maybe I can find a place to host it until we can get it up officially.

Now it's PL OK.

Now we wait for Internet Archive, I guess.

With permission I have uploaded this to my (very unused) SubStack. The link is here and can also be found in the first post of the thread.

Thank you everyone for your submissions! This turned out so much better than I expected for my first attempt. I hope we can keep this rolling into the next month.

I just had a listen - and it was fun! I either didn't know or had forgotten about the LibriVox theme song, so thank you ShrimpFish for the idea, and both of you for the courage to put this out there.

Between this and the Zoom sessions, I find it's really nice to hear familiar voices speaking in their own words. When listening, or when coordinating on the forums, we usually get just one or the other! I may have been too cowar- errr- too busy to join this time, but for what it's worth, thank you for sharing.
