An Enquiry into the Obligations of Christians to Use Means for the Conversion of the Heathens, by William Carey (1761 - 1834)

This project is complete! All files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/an-enquiry-into-the-obligations-of-christians-by-william-carey/
William Carey was discouraged by the lack of interest in foreign missions among the church and wrote this book in an attempt to wake up the church to the importance of missions. He shows the Biblical basis for missions, traces the history of missions, demonstrates the needs around the world, considers the obstacles to missions, and lays out a practical strategy for how missions could look. (Summary by Aletheia Charis)

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the number of languishing projects on our server, we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't recorded anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).

Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process unless you are the BC or PL. Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

I did a VERY quick look at the text. Do you have a plan for how to read the tables in section 3?

Great, thanks! And if there are any questions about reading the tables, we can discuss that then.

This is set up. :)

Thank you so much, Tricia and InTheDesert! I just got the section titles uploaded.

My plan for the table is to say something along the lines of "Great-Britian; 680 miles long; 300 miles wide; 12,000,000 inhabitants; relgion: Protestants, of many denominations" for each country. What are your thoughts on that? If either of you know of a better way to do it, I'm definitely open to suggestions. I'm still new to this and don't know how people have worked through similar things in the past.

Thanks! My voice is completely trashed right now because of a cold, but hopefully I'll be able to get back to recording next week, and I should be able to get through the rest of the book much faster due to just finishing up another project I was working on.

Wanting to record and being sick is no fun at all.
