Must be that someone mentioned it on a Podcast, or some organization urged all their members to listen to it. Would love to know.
No, June 2021 was the highest:

But we gained 8k subscribers which is the second highest ever in a month so it attracted a lot of new people.

The October stats are pretty meaningless, but here they are:

In October, LibriVox volunteers completed 32 projects, bringing us to 952 total projects for 2024.

We've got 55 works waiting to catalog. I guess November should be a stellar month for us! :P

Other stats:

Total number of projects 20499
Number of completed projects 19814
Number of completed non-English projects 2466
Total number of languages 101
Number of languages with a completed work 48
Number of completed solo projects 10500
Number of readers 14018
...who have completed something 13916

And, for the obsessive listeners among us, the "total listening time" stat:
Those 32 projects have a combined runtime of 7 days, 13:39:58, bringing us just over 13 years and 267 days.

Does that mean it would take me nearly 14years, listening 24 hours a day, to listen to all our catalogue :?: . But I have already listened to some  Anne

Yep! That's only approximate, and it's only if you listened at regular "1x" speed. It also includes all the various readings of popular works, so the quick-listening and the scrupulous might make it through in less time than that. So long as they didn't sleep.

In November, LibriVox volunteers completed 133 projects, bringing us to 1085 total projects for 2024.

Not that it's a problem, but we're about 130 projects behind 2023. I think the IA outage didn't do us any favors, but we were already 100 behind 2023 at the end of September. So it's not just the outage.

Other stats:

Total number of projects 20586
Number of completed projects 19947
Number of completed non-English projects 2491
Total number of languages 101
Number of languages with a completed work 48
Number of completed solo projects 10569
Number of readers 14036
...who have completed something 13948

Looks like we'll hit 20,000 completed projects in December!

And, those 133 projects have together have approximately this much runtime:
35 days, 16:36:30

So, our hypothetical obsessive listener could now listen, uninterrupted, for approximately:
13 years, 302 days, 19:55:17
