What with Archive out of commission so that I can't access the files to edit on my other projects, I turned my attention to a project without an Archive text.

Here is Figaro. (6, 6, 1/4, 4, and 9 minutes respectively.)

N.B. I've recorded the Alphonso!! line, but Astuto has already been led off by the Alguazils on the previous page.
Thanks for the note, I've put that on the MW section to remember during editing.

Scott is overhearing what I'm PL'ing this morning and sends his compliments for excellent voice acting. :)

Act 1 is PL OK

Act 2 - I mulled over asking for this edit, but I think it makes a subtle style change in Astuto's speech patterns - would you mind redoing the indignant line at 7:04 "What then have you done with them?" (we have "Then what have. . . ")

Acts 3, 4, and 5 are all marvelously done and PL OK

Thank you, Wayne. I've got these loaded, but this play is a little too tricky to PL from my phone. I'll catch these on Tuesday, when I have my computer again.

Hi, Wayne :)

I have a note for you on Act 2: at 4:18 the script reads "who secretly devours his Wrongs!," but we have "scarcely"

Count Almaviva Act 3 is PL OK

I am having a problem. I corrected the above error, saved it (overriding the previous reading on my computer), and then tried to upload it to be Spot PLed. All went well until I tried to transfer the file from my list of files to the uploader and this is what appears in the uploader: frailty_count_3.mp3 This is the first time I have had a problem like this in my entire LV life. Anyone out there that can trouble shoot the problem?

The same thing happens with any file I try to transfer. :(

Thanks,

Wayne

That is weird, as in, you select the act 2 file, but it keeps popping onto the act 3 file?

The first thing I would do is to restart the computer; then try the uploader again. Or if not the computer, at least restart the browser, a cookie might be stuck in the wrong place.

Other things to try if restarting the computer doesn't solve it:
Save the file at another location, so that you choose the file in the uploader from a different location, to see if that makes a difference.
If uploader is still stuck on choosing frailty_count_3.mp3, delete the file temporarily (you can later download it from the Magic Window) just so that it's not there to be picked up from the uploader
:hmm:

Good luck!

How the 'Act 3' came up was I originally tried to upload the correct on, Act 2, but then I tried Act 3 to see if that made any difference, and that was the one I tried last and the one I chose for the question. I tired different files from different plays/books and they all had the same problem.

Thanks for the ideas. I have rebooted the computer twice. Didn't seem to help. In regards to the other suggestion, I need more help. I don't know how to "Save the file at another location". Can you help me with this? I am running Windows 7, if that makes any difference and Audacity 2.4.2

how to "Save the file at another location"
From Audacity, when you go to Export Audio/mp3, and open the Export window, you can choose where to save the file. I think you can right-click in there for the context-menu, then choose "Create"->"Folder" so that it creates a new folder within the folder you normally export. Then double-click to open the New Folder, thus choosing it as the new location for saving the file. Click "Save" to save the file. Then when you go to the Uploader, I'm assuming when you click the "Add Files" button, the Uploader goes to your usual folder. If so, you should find the New Folder in there now too. Double click on the New Folder to open it, and choose your file from there. And I'm curious if it will take that file, or frailty_count_3.mp3 again  It's such a weird issue! Maybe it's haunted for halloween...!
