This project is now complete! All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/shadow-forms-a-collection-of-occult-stories-by-manly-p-hall/

Volunteers outside the USA: Manly P. Hall died in 1990. This person's work may still be protected by copyright in countries where copyright duration is determined by the author's death date. In Europe this is 70 years; in Canada it is 70 years for authors who died after 1971; and in Australia it is 70 years for authors who died after 1955.
This collection of strange and exotic stories offers adaptations and modern updates of folk tales and legends as well as original horror stories involving the mysterious secrets of the Orient. (Summary by Ben Tucker)

Target completion date:

Prospective PLs, please see the Guide for Proof-listeners.

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the number of languishing projects on our server, we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't recorded anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).

Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process unless you are the BC or PL. Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

Sections 0 and 1 are both PL OK

Note for Section 2: at 6:05-6:08 there is a false start that needs to be snipped out, "and finally vanished amid a great sunburst of palms"
Otherwise great.

This made for a fun listening break from cabinet refinishing work. :)

Sections 5 and 7 are both PL OK   I think 5 is my favorite so far.

Section 6 has a word that is so much fainter than all around it, I thought at first the little sentence had got off until I went back and listened with the track zoomed: At 9:50, "His face had a happy <look>." Somebody with the volume not turned high won't hear that - thought you may like to go in and amplify that one word louder with its surroundings?

I'm happy to spot-PL or you can call it as it is and toggle to PL OK

(10-12 are added to my queue)
