Captain Billy's Whiz Bang, Vol. 3, No. 30, February, 1922, by W. H. Fawcett (1885 - 1940)
"Captain Billy's Whiz Bang" was an iconic magazine of wit and humor launched by W.H. Fawcett in 1919. Each 64-page issue was packed with jokes, quips, and humorous bits of writing. Each year it grew in popularity, and Fawcett’s success lead to the formation of the well-known Fawcett Publications, which issued Whiz Comics and introduced Captain Marvel. The magazine was immortalized in a line in the song “Trouble” from Meredith Wilson’s “The Music Man.” This issue has articles such as, "Movie Hot Stuff" and many short quips, plus the usual departments are here such as, Drippings from the Fawcett, Smokehouse Poetry, and Pasture Pot Pourri. (Summary by Larry Wilson)

Well, I've sent a PM to lomond. I think he is back, but if he can't take it, I'll PL.

I've filled out the MW, but I forgot that I needed a Section Zero for an introduction.
If you would be so kind to add that for me, we'll be off to Readers Wanted short works.
(I think this may be the last issue on Gutenberg, but there are more on IA, once it is back on line).

Thanks again for setting this up!

Section 0 has been added! I will keep an eye out for Lomond. If he's able to listen, then I will add him.

Yes, it will be nice to have Archive back. Other than the two projects to catalog, I have been looking for alternative sources for a few projects. So far, Hathi Trust has come through for me!

Well, I'd really rather give a wider selection of people the opportunity to participate in this project and have a variety of voices.
Why don't I start you off with the first three sections, all of the Drippings from the Fawcett, and we'll take it from there.

Sounds good! Do you have distinct stop/starts for each section (other than the first ofc)? I see there's a word count for each section but I'm not sure exactly where the sections are delineated.

Oops! Glad you asked.
How did I not get that posted?

Anyway, you'll now find this info in the Notes field for each section.
If anything is not clear, let me know.
