Donut Lady and Miss Jerusha, Chapter 4 are PL OK! Miss Jerusha, Chapter 7 needs one fix: at 2:28, I hear “A good child is never impertinent.” But the text reads “A good child never is impertinent.” Since this project calls for word perfect PL, that’ll need to be fixed.

I think your pronunciation of Jerusha makes perfect sense; the other option would be more likely in a novel that had Spanish characters/elements, which this one definitely doesn't.

It seems that not all of the coding in Chapter 25 indicates the correct speakers. I did not record the line "Papa—oh, papa!" even though it is highlighted in orange, because the context suggests to me that it is Van speaking, and so should be highlighted in pink. I recorded ten lines coded for Mrs. Whitney because I believe that the intended speaker is Mr. Whitney. I also noticed that the line "All!" is coded for the narrator but I believe that it should be coded for Polly. Please let me know if I have misunderstood anything in the text or if I have missed any lines.

Is there any chance that you will be coordinating a DR of the sequel when this project concludes, Elijah? I would love to return as Mr. Whitney in Five Little Peppers Midway.

I have adjusted the lines for Chapter 25 as I believe they should be corrected. I believe I was incorrectly highlighting some of those Mr. Whitney lines as if they were for Mrs. Whitney, so I appreciate your double checking.

If there are adjustments needed, I'll correct those through any PL notes

Mr. Whitney is PL OK and nicely done. I had a couple of notes for Elijah about the colour coding as well: the “All!” that you've already pointed out above, that needs to be highlighted for Polly. And, in the middle of Mr. Whitney’s relation of his relationship to Mrs. Pepper, there’s a line that’s highlighted for just Joel (“Oh!” cried all the children together”) that I think needs to be read by more than just one of the children.

One note for Chapter 21: at 2:06, I hear “Marian ought to see that there’s someone here—“ but the text reads “Marian ought to see that there’s some here—“ (referring to water, not a person).

Nicely done, Damien. Just a few notes for some of the later chapters (Elijah, please note that I've highlighted a few of these like this, to show where you need to make corrections to the script):

Chapter 9: There are lines coded for Ben that actually belong to Phronsie. Ben says “Would what, Puss?” asked Ben…” The two lines that follow “Have good things,” and “I would really, Ben,” both belong to Phronsie. (This isn’t a correction for you, Damien, but rather for the script, as you didn't read them.)

Chapter 12:

• There’s a line coded to Ben (“Hulloa!”) that belongs to Jasper, when he first arrives to visit and encounters Ben at the wood-pile. Damien, you’ve read it, but it’s not actually yours. Would probably be easier for Elijah when it comes time for editing if you removed it.

• At 0:53, there’s a distracting noise behind the words “why, she’s never had one.” You might want to re-record that bit.

• At 2:24, you stumble slightly over the first two words of “you’ll never get it open at this rate!” You might want to re-record that line.

Chapter 14:

• At 2:23, there’s a word missing: “but I put it in farther down—“

• At 2:45, it sounds like you’re saying “We most of us knew you weren’t sick—…” (rather than “were sick”) and there’s also a distracting noise just then, so perhaps you could redo this line.

• At 3:20, I hear “…like bits of letters, like these.” But the text reads “…little bits of letters, like these.”

Chapter 15:

• At 1:45, you need to add 3 to 5 seconds silence after “Oh!” and change “if we only could have seen it.” to “if we could only have seen it.”

• Before the speech at 2:29 (“Well there he is,”) there’s two lines missing (they’re by all the children and are rather buried): “Yes, yes” and “if you’re not tired, Jasper.”

Chapter 16:

• At 2:38, I hear “and then we would string ‘em,…” but the text reads “…and then we should string ‘em,…”

• At 3:40, I hear “We’ll have to wait until they’re a-bed,” but the text reads “We’ll have to wait til they’re a-bed.”

Chapter 17:

• At 1:18, you’ve read an extra word that isn’t in the text: “And when the flour’s shaken all over me it’ll be Santa himself.” Please snip that out.

• Before the “Dear Friends…” speech by Ben at 2:47, there’s a couple of lines missing that are incorrectly coded to Davie a couple of paragraphs earlier, but I believe the first one should be read by the narrator (“this jolly Old Saint—“) and the second should be read by Ben: “Oh, mammy how did you do it?” Please add that second line in there.

Chapter 18:
You’ve read a line at 0:37, “The stage’s going! your trunk’ll be taken!” that actually belongs to Joel. Please snip it out.

Chapter 23:
At 0:58, there’s a word missing: “the very splendidest pictures, Phronsie Pepper, you ever saw!”
