Thanks for catching that, Rapunzelina; I've edited and re-uploaded https://librivox.org/uploads/rapunzelina/fcc012_icknieldway_thomas_py_128kb.mp3
(51.32)

I felt his comment "out of the reach of letters" the same way.

I have a book of haiku by the zen monk Santoka Taneda (dead for some years now); somewhere in there he says "Too much contact with people brings conflict, hatred and attachment. To rid myself of inner conflicts and hatred, I must walk."

I'm looking forward to recording the whole book sometime, but I have another solo to do after my current one first.

Thank you, Czandra! I see this is classed as a love story, which intrigues me to know what happens next! :D Have you read all of it? is it a happy ending love story??

PL OK!

Yes, I could read the whole thing, as I think it's well written and the characters clearly lively! Would you PL or MC that project? I found the 1914 edition in a fund-raiser auction in Nova Scotia, and I do love to hold a book when I read. Seems the edition is the same as the Gutenberg one. It was reprinted about 10 times.

Either re-record the chapter, or if you'd rather use it, I could remove it from the collection. Going to Launch Pad now!

Here's one in Polish

Author: Henryk Sienkiewicz
Title: Bez dogmatu
Link to source: https://pl.wikisource.org/wiki/Bez_dogmatu
Date of publication: 1906
https://librivox.org/uploads/rapunzelina/fcc012_bezdogmatu_sienkiewicz_pn81_128kb.mp3
duration 25:52

It was recorded with my window open so you'll hear various outside noises (dog barking and planes passing). I hope it's not too distracting.

Thank you, Piotr! If that's the only noise you get from recording with open windows, it sounds like you live in a relatively quiet neighbourhood. It was not intrusive at all!
PL OK and in the Magic Window.
