Twenty-seven, and Epoch the Third has begun!
I do wish Ainsworth could stick to the narrative, and restrain his lyric impulses. Does anyone need to hear his extol the beauties of the English countryside vistas? Is he a storyteller or a real estate broker?\
And you don't have to be Nostradamus to see what happens next! Say our last farewells to Mrs. Woods!

He had to put up with here 9 years longer than all had hoped. Loved Mr. Kneebones description of Mr. Woods life.
I can't believe Jack is going to do what I suspect in the next chapter. Has he no scruples.

Twenty-eight, and goodbye to Mrs. Wood. We may suppose Mrs. Sheppard will now move in under Owen Wood's protection.

Thirty, over to you!
I think he is cheating in his escape. Well read.
Just some small changes:
6:46 there is some extra loud background noise, could you please reduce/eliminate it
please delete about 2 seconds at the end so that there is around 5 seconds of silence
As exciting as this chapter is, it relies on a lot of hoary old devices. Jack keeps muttering asides to the readers! And Mrs. S is the long-missing heiress, stolen as a mere babe by a gypsy! And how about Jack's disguise? Yes, he had on Quilt Arnold's clothes, which is laughable enough, but we have been previously specifically told that Jack is a slight fellow, whereas Quilt is a hulking brute.
