You didn't say you wanted to preclaim - if you check the first post in the working thread it is clearly explained, you just need to post there that you wish to preclaim the cover - you need to have a project number and be the BC. But you can do that as soon as you have a project number
I've hunted out the project, found the number and preclaimed it for you.

Thank you Anne!
Oops. I also realized I left out part of the discalaimer on the pdf. I will work on it and reupload.

I'm exploring possibilities for the Wedding Day project.
Do you think this is showing too much of the model, such that the photo cannot be used? https://pixabay.com/photos/woman-bride-wedding-female-6555889/
I've got other possibilities, but this one is so striking.

I think if that is the picture you want there are ways to disguise her enough.TriciaG wrote: ↑May 25th, 2024, 6:02 am I'm exploring possibilities for the Wedding Day project.

I went with a different picture. Thanks, though!ShellyW wrote: ↑May 25th, 2024, 3:23 pmI think if that is the picture you want there are ways to disguise her enough.TriciaG wrote: ↑May 25th, 2024, 6:02 am I'm exploring possibilities for the Wedding Day project.

Hello!
I finished Melete by Karoline von Günderode in German.
https://librivox.org/melete-by-karoline-von-guenderrode/
I would be very happy to have a nice cover.
The point of this book is:
Karoline committed suicide in 1806 and the lover, who had disappointed her had her last book, Melete, pulped, before it was finished printing, because he feared, he could be outed as her lover (he was married and well known). So the book was destroyed during print and 100 years later the leftovers were found and put together, so that the book was reconstructed. This story can is some way be depicted, a destroyed book or something like that?
Thank you for the help as always -

Sounds interesting and I'd take on the cover except that I'm at my quota of 2 claims already. Morals of this tale could be: #1 don't tattle on your lovers, #2, don't sneak around on your spouse, #3 always keep a copy of your manuscript hidden away. I'm sure there are others.AliceStein wrote: ↑June 3rd, 2024, 2:22 am Hello!

There is a portrait of her on Wikipedia which could be used and I feel would help readers understand her short tragic life ?
Anne
added - this is just an idea/ personal opinion.
added moral
If you want to destroy paper - throw it in a fire and wait till it is totally destroyed - you don't want Sherlock reconstructing it. Though I suppose there is always Dr. Who
