I just saw this got put into the Readers Wanted: Languages other than English forum rather than Going Solo. Can that be changed? We seem to be getting more and more new readers in Spanish, and I don't want them to be confused when they see it in Readers Wanted.
Waiting for a clever signature line to occur to me.
Cheers, VERLA

¡Saludos!
Well, at least this sections 10-11 chunk gives you an emotional break, hopefully.
Interesting characters, Jackson&co, though by no means unique or ever out of fashion.. Neither out of fashion “insuperables los obstáculos para la anexión” without war approach.
Also interesting the candid arguments (around page 155) behind the “how to's” to join the federal Union.
I agree it’s better to say “don” instead of “d” for the Spanish-Mexican names starting with “D.”, it makes easier for the listener to understand Jackson’s “I hate the dons” quote.
Otherwise, just the following needs to be addressed:
section 11 - page 164 @ 13:53
A request:
Could I please carry on without taking care of the Checker passage? I don't usually have wifi; it's bytes-heavier work via phone..
Hi Claudia, yes, there was no shortage of annexation justifications. It's very interesting to see the facts told by the losing side, and just a few decades after the events occurred.
And you're also right that spelling out "don" is easier for listeners. I missed that in the first sections, and wanted to redeem myself by spelling it out in the most recent sections.
The mistake at S11 13'53" has been corrected.
I see no issues in your skipping Checker. I use it to validate all my files, so we're covered here.
Thanks!

Hello. No hurry!
Section 12 is straight ok. Then I have a few notes, but not sure editing is required for all.
Great catches, Claudia!DrSpoke wrote: ↑June 1st, 2024, 11:12 amHello. No hurry!

I can see that they were the result of my intent to wrap the sessions up rather quick...
They've been corrected and re-uploaded, ready for Spot PL.
Regards!
