Hello!

This is my first 1-minute test: https://librivox.org/uploads/tests/1-Minute_Test_52224.mp3

Mic: Blue Microphone Snowball iCE
Software: Audacity
System: Chromebook

I recorded at my dining room table, so I wouldn't be surprised if there was background noise. I also have a bit of a cold. I would appreciate any feedback!

Thanks,
Marzipan.

Welcome Mary

Your audio settings are all correct, so well done. I don't detect background noises, either. However, there are significant plosive sounds on the P's when your breath hits the mic.

Reposition your mic so that it is off-center about 45 degrees. Add a pop filter or foam wind screen if necessary.

Please make a new test recording and post it in a reply to this message. I will come back and review it for you.

Hello!

Here is my second attempt: https://librivox.org/uploads/tests/Second_1-Minute_Test_52424.mp3

I tried putting my mic at an angle. I also tried using a makeshift pop filter, since I don't have one. Let me know if it's any better! Thank you!

Mary.

Repositioning the mic is the most important thing.

Okay, you are good to go.

Happy narrating!
