He gets weirder and weirder with every section. I've given up on trying to follow the contortions of his bizarre mind. I just go with the flow and hope that I'll eventually make some kind of sense of it.

One note: At 0:23, I hear “Mrs. Mahon brought me food, and barred me from the world of newspapers and visitors and letters.” But the text reads “Mrs. Mahon brought me food, and barred from me the world of newspapers and visitors and letters.” This needs to be corrected, as the meaning’s quite different.

Gee, I'll miss John Mark! I wish I could have a little chat with him. I'd tell him that he should get out more; maybe go to a park or someplace where he could see more colors than white, black and gray ... mostly gray. And he should probably know that if it doesn't work out with Mildred there are other perfectly lovely women in the world and maybe they just weren't meant to be. Maybe I don't really have to say goodbye to John after all - maybe, just maybe I can find a little room for him in the back of my head, maybe near the cortex, if not in my heart.
