Ha! Indeed.
At the moment, it does look like this is turning into a bit of a "road movie" à la 1820s. "Before Jack Kerouac was On The Road, George Borrow was On The Bridle Path..."
It's going to be very hard to write an even semi-adequate Description for this audiobook, I think.

Indeed.
I'm actually a few chapters ahead in my recording of where I'm at in my editing, so I know the 'road movie' goes on at least for a while.
I'm not going to be able to work on this project for the next three days, as I've got a little road trip of my own to do — so there will be a brief lull in my output during this time. Should be back in business by the weekend.

:D Well, I hope the road will lead somewhere…

PL of sections 64 and 65 is okay.

Thanks for the heads up about the recording halt, gives me a chance to catch up on podcasts.

Sections 70 and 71 are fine and I’m glad our hero survived!

Mrs Herne and her grand-daughter are certainly two "pieces of work", aren't they? No "hearts of gold" there! This work is such an odd amalgam of the highly believable and the highly improbable, that it's really very hard to categorise. Autobiography? Well, in a sense, presumably — but one does one make of all the co-incidences and highly fanciful-seeming episodes? Novel? No, that doesn't seem right either. Very idiosyncratic!

I have uploaded:
Section 72: htps://librivox.org/uploads/annise/lavengro_072_borrow_128kb.mp3 (11:47)
Section 73: htps://librivox.org/uploads/annise/lavengro_073_borrow_128kb.mp3 (17:07)
Section 74: htps://librivox.org/uploads/annise/lavengro_074_borrow_128kb.mp3 (9:48)

RE SECTION 73
John Bunyan was a seventeenth century English writer and preacher famous for his allegorical work "The Pilgrim's Progress" (parts of which I read at school as part of the Year 11 curriculum).

RE SECTION 74
"Flitch" is a slice of smoked or cured meat, normally pig meat. Could well be like a chunk of bacon on this context.
