Hello Sarah,
Here are my PL notes for your chapter--it was a long one!
5:54--omit repetition of "Suddenly there came..."
8:22--after "...with the soles.' and before "Here was proof..." please add a missing sentence: "Those of the first pair he took up corresponded!"
8:51--after "...as he was able..." add "the man and car."
10:26--omit "good taste" in "...a few doors away is quite good..."
29:49--after "desperation" please add "And then, to his relief,"
30:42--omit repetition of "Sergeant Holmes."
38:24--omit repetition of "and the Inspector."
42:58--omit repetition of "they were traversing..."
44:34--omit repetition of "to get on board."
