ShellyW wrote: April 25th, 2024, 9:48 am I think I have fixed the 3 spots you mentioned above, as well as the date at the very end. I suddenly realized that for the first 3 weeks of April I was still saying "March." :hmm:

Oh, it might help to include the new link :help:

https://librivox.org/uploads/kilteddragon/wherebluebegins_15_morley_128kb.mp3 (16:15)
I completely missed that date. Or maybe I'm still in March as well...

Very seamless corrections! Spot PL ok.

Cheers,
Winnifred

ShayanRahmati1 wrote: April 19th, 2024, 7:43 pm Hello! Can I read chapter 2 please
Hi Shayan,

This chapter has been officially assigned to you, effective today. You're listed in the Librivox catalogue as Shayan Rahmati, and your catalogue page, which shows all the readings you have committed to (and later on, completed) is here. You can also access this page from your name-link in the Magic Window on the first page of this project.

Please review the first post of this project for the information you need about what to name your recording, what to say at the beginning and end (the intro/outro), how much silence to leave at the start and end, and how to upload the file. Let me know if you have any questions.

Have fun!

Cheers,
Winnifred

Hi Michelle,

Wow, love the enthusiasm! I will enter your claim for those four chapters (note, there's a two month deadline for claims). Please read the first post in this project for everything you need to know about naming and uploading the file, plus what to say at the beginning and end, and how much silence to leave at the start/finish.

I'll put you into the Librivox catalogue as JamminJazz. If you want that name changed later, you can ask any of the admins to do that for you. You can access your catalogue page from your name link in the Magic Window (the list of sections in the first post).

Feel free to ask questions along the way.

Cheers,
Winnifred

Very nicely read. Just two little things: At 8:36 and 8:56, there are noticeable thumps in the background. You might want to edit those out.

Cheers,
Winnifred

I noticed a "ding" shortly after the spots you mentioned and redid that as well. Sometimes it takes a few tries to make it sound less patched :hmm:

Yes, seamless editing is hard. Harder than recording. I think I sometimes spend twice as long patching than I do recording.

Cheers,
Winnifred

At least twice as long for me. But I actually enjoy editing. I discovered recently that I like writing with a pencil much better than a pen for that reason. Yesterday I bought a big package of erasers

Thanks! In line for PL. I haven't read it all myself either, just enough to get this started.

Just one note on this one: At 4:07, I hear “But it’s so faraway from everywhere that poor Mrs. Santa couldn’t get a servant.” However, there’s no “Mrs.” in the text (this Santa doesn't seem to be married). Could you please snip that out?

Thanks,
Winnifred
