I jumped the gun again and recorded the section; if you don’t need it, please just delete - I enjoyed reading it! If you do need it, here it is:

Very glad to have this, Tom!
Glad you enjoyed reading it. :) Specs are fine and the sample that I listened to sounds good.
We'll have a full report for you soon.

That would be great!

I see you haven't received your final OK on your test recording, but I'll put you in for this. I just need to know how you would like to be listed in the LibriVox catalog. This can be your real name, pseudonym, or any nickname/handle you wish. This is how you will be credited for all of your LV work.
Hi again! You can list me as Charlie Lauffer if you please. I'll have the section to you soon!

That's great! I've added you to the LibriVox Catalog and assigned you Section 7. It consists of three parts as listed in the Magic Window.

To view your personal reader page, just click on you name in the MW. This is where you can track all of your LV projects of which I hope there will be many.

Thank you!
I've put this in the MW Ready for PL.
I've assigned you Section 6 and 8, but you might want to wait until you get your first proof listening report in case there are any broad issues to address.

NOTE: We DO need the leading zero in the file names, just as give in the template which you should just copy and paste. No need to upload this one again unless there are other corrections needed.

You did a very nice job with your recording. I have very few comments to make, and most of those concern LibriVox specs.

As has already been mentioned, the filename needs a correction, section # should be listed as "07". Please correct this when you repost the file
please delete over 1 second of silence at the start so that there is between 0.5 and 1 second of silence
around 0:08 there is a piece of extraneous noise to delete, it will give you a little more practice with your recording program.
please add about two seconds of silence to make the ending silence around 5 seconds

Looking forward to more recordings from you.

Thanks,

M

I hope me going ahead and trying it is alright! Now worries if you feel the need to choose someone else. Let me know if the audio seems alright!

Well, I admire your eagerness, Karen!

It really is important that you wait before a claim is acknowledged and assigned before recording. It avoids a lot of confusion. (I was on the road all day, so couldn't check in again until this evening).

But since it appears that you have done everything correctly, I'll go ahead and accept this. I do need to know, however, exactly how you would like to be listed in the LibriVox catalog. This can be your real name, pseudonym, or any nickname/handle you wish. This is how you will be credited for all of your LV work.

Thanks again for you enthusiastic interest! :)

My real name, Karen Toman, will be fine to use for any work that I do. Good to know that I should always wait. Glad the recording worked out! Thanks.
