Praise received for gloriana (Elizabeth Klett) from our 'Thank a reader' feature:
Dear Elizabeth,

I’ve be so pleased to have been able to listen to your recording of Jane Eyre at least four times over the past 5 years. Your voice sounds exactly how I imagined Jane would sound when I first read the book (45 years ago) and it delights me still, every time I queue up the book. I am just about to search for more recordings by you - I do hope it’s possible to search that way.

Thank you for all the pleasure your effort has brought me over the years!

Sincerely,

Linda

I want to express the warmth I felt while listening to Availle reading Jose Rizal's El Filibusterismo. Both from the work itself and from Availle's reading. The world is such a cold place for many of us and to hear such an outspoken account, through a fictional medium, I'm very encouraged. Jose Rizal would have been honoured with these recordings. It's so ironic that Rizal's drive to cure the world can end in destroying the cure. Availle communicates the work perfectly.

Praise received for Plum Hill (Graham Williams) from our 'Thank a reader' feature:
Dear Sir,

I want to transmit my thanks to Graham Williams for his reading in https://librivox.org/i-wandered-lonely-as-a-cloud-by-william-wordsworth/

Dear Mr. Williams,

I want to thank you for your beautiful reading of this marvelous peom "I wanderes lonely as a cloud".
I was looking for a public domain reading because I wanted to create a composition based on this poem, and had the great fortune
to discover your captivating recitation. I really love your voice!

First I created this more ambient track based on your recitation https://soundcloud.com/rabmusiclab/i-wandered-lonely-as-a-cloud, and later
I composed a second version with acoustic, folk-like music https://soundcloud.com/rabmusiclab/william-dances.
I hope you like the results of my endeavours - for the second track I inserted short pauses and pitched words to better suite the music.

Kind regards
Klaus

Praise received for mightyfelix (Devorah Allen) from our 'Thank a reader' feature:
Book: Marquis of Lossie

I am in heaven!! I have been waiting for this book! I finished Malcolm a few months ago and found out there was a sequel but it was still in production. George MacDonald is my favourite (Canadian spelling!) author on Librivox, and Malcolm is my favourite novel so far...and you are one of my favourite readers! I used to have difficulty sleeping, until I started using Librivox books to relax me as I'm going to sleep (often I have to backtrack the next day because I've fallen asleep during the chapter), and your smooth and soothing voice if perfect for that. I also LOVE the Scottish accent! I don't know how you do it! It must have taken a lot of time to perfect. Actually, I have no idea if it's perfect, but it sounds great and really enhances the story. I have a friend whose family name is Campbell, and I was about halfway through the book when I realized that "Cummel" is Campbell, and my friend thought that was hilarious.

I assume based on the books you choose to narrate that you are a Christian. Thank you for enriching my Christian life (and enhancing my sleep!)

Sincerely,

Katherine

Praise received for HannahMary (Hannah Mary) from our 'Thank a reader' feature:
Heather and Snow

I was delighted a few months ago to find that Heather and Snow were finally up! George MacDonald is my favourite author on Librivox, but I had listened to all of his larger works (other than the fantasy ones, which are not my favourites), so I had to find other authors to listen to. As I was looking for another book to listen to, I saw that Heather and Snow was ready, and I was ecstatic! Such a great book, and so well narrated. Thank you so much! I use the Librivox books to help me sleep (often I have to backtrack in the morning because I fell asleep during the reading), and your calming and gentle voice are just what I need. I also LOVE the Scottish accent! It really enhances the story!

I glanced at your website. Thank you for all the work that you do for Christ!

Sincerely,

Katherine
