Fountains Abbey; the story of a mediaeval monastery, by George Hodges (1856 - 1919)

Prospective PLs, please see the Guide for Proof-listeners.

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the number of languishing projects on our server, we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't recorded anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).

Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process unless you are the BC or PL. Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

This project has an estimated word count of 22,162 (probably less), which should be about 3.15 hours in total. The Table of Contents lists four chapters, which I plan to divide across about ten sections (I prefer recording in sections of about twenty minutes to make editing a little more manageable. :D )

The author writes with an urbane and good-natured style that is a pleasure to read!

Thanks,
Patrick

Magic Window is complete -- please don't hesitate to share any suggestions or corrections as needed! (Chapter Three is the bulk of the text, so that's why I divided into so many parts. Please let me know if the section titles seem too cumbersome or should be shortened. :hmm: )

I think we're ready to be moved to Going Solo -- ?

Many thanks!

Hi, just checking in -- for the past few days my voice hasn't been microphone-ready so apologies for the lack of progress! I have been working on it and hope to have something ready soon!

Many thanks,
Patrick
